Hello hello, everyone!
Because I wasn’t currently working on a large project for a while, I was getting a little tired of simply writing short stories, poetry, and blog posts. I wanted to write another novel, just for fun!
And, because this one was simply for fun, I decided why not stretch my boundaries a little bit? I only write medieval fantasy–I love it! But this time I decided to switch it up a bit and write my first ever science fiction novel!!
Yes, it’s official! I started writing this story on June 1st, and am currently writing the first draft of my first sci fi novel, Under the Blue Sun. Again, it’s only for fun, but I wanted to share this with you guys because I thought you might like to hear about it.
So, without further ado, I give you a synopsis, a mock cover, and some other fun info!

Under the Blue Sun:
Genre: Science Fiction
Status: First draft (incomplete)
Words: Currently 12,000+
Synopsis:
A cold war has begun between the three space stations that orbit the planet of Helkutta, which rests under the azure light of the blue sun. The native aliens of the galaxy, the Ugatii, have kindly taken in the human race as friends, and for many years they have lived in peace, with the Ugatii sharing the energy they harvest through generators from the blue sun’s rays. However, the generators have begun to fail, and power for all three space stations is scarce. Tensions are high, and each space station blames another.
When they are ejected from their space station because of an emergency lockdown of the lower levels of Howelli Base, three unlikely heroes are thrown into an adventure to find out who exactly is behind the hostility of this cold war, and how to solve it. Maj, a rejected janitor, Yelsona, a demoted commander, and Jennifer, arguably the best sniper in the space station’s military force, vow to work together and must get to the bottom of this mystery before their home is destroyed and the peace the space stations have acquired is thrown into chaos.

BONUS INFO!!!
I drew my three main characters, so I want to show you those drawings as well!!

All right, I think that’s all I have for this week! I hope you enjoyed hearing about this novel. Would you like to see some snippets from this novel? If so, please let me know and I’d be happy to share a few!

Awesome, Caleb! You’ve got a great plot. Love to write the story!
You are a great artist…how long have you been drawing and with application did you draw this?

Thank you so much! 😀
I’ve been drawing ever since I could remember, but I probably seriously started drawing around ten or eleven. I drew these characters on paper with pencil and ink, and then colored them on the computer.
