Hello there, friend! Welcome to the blog!
I’m Caleb E. King, a teenage homeschooler and a grateful child of God. I started writing when I was quite young but began writing seriously at around eight. I’m a voracious reader and read The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia at the same age.
When I began seriously writing, I fell in love with all of it (though the editing was the least part I fell in love with), and couldn’t stop. My first stories were around 1,000 to 3,000 words long. Then I started writing 25,000-word books, and at last, I wrote my first novel, A Silence in the Shadows, which as a first draft stood at just a few words over 50,000.
Soon after that, I joined an amazing online community called “The Young Writer’s Workshop”. It’s an amazing place and I’ve grown in my writing so much from it. (I wouldn’t have started this blog without it!)
After joining YWW, I’ve been writing novel after novel, honing my craft and working to get better. I’m now an Author Conservatory student (an advanced track in YWW) and am working with incredible authors to make my writing better than it ever has been!

If you want to find out more about my writing, receive personal updates, monthly newsletters, and receive two exclusive short stories, you can subscribe to my email list by clicking here!
See you around,
