Hey there, friend!
Welcome to my blog!
I’m Caleb E. King, a teenage homeschooler and a grateful child of God. I started writing when I was quite young, but began writing seriously at the age of eight-ish. I self-published my first book with my siblings (a small short story) at eleven, and another by myself at twelve (also a small short story). I’m a veracious reader, and read The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia when I was eight years old. To be quite simple, I’m obsessed with reading and writing.
When I began seriously writing, I just fell in love with all of it (though editing was the least part I fell in love with), and couldn’t stop. My first stories were around 1,000 to 3,000 words long, but then I started writing 25,000 word books, and at last I wrote my first novel, A Silence in the Shadows, which as a first draft stood at just a few words over 50,000.
Soon after that, I joined an amazing online community called “The Young Writer’s Workshop” it is an amazing place and I grew in my writing so much. (Wouldn’t have started this blog without it!)
After joining YWW, my writing grew in leaps and bounds.
Raid of the Krames is a shorter story, (28,000 words) and is only in the beginning drafts at the moment.
